MEDICAL LYMPH DRAINAGE (MLD)

Medical Lymph Drainage is a specialized, evidence-based soft-tissue therapy that supports the lymphatic system’s natural drainage pathways. Using gentle, rhythmic hand movements developed by Dr. Emil Vodder, MLD stimulates lymph flow to reduce swelling, support healing, and promote detoxification.

Unlike traditional massage, MLD uses intentionally light pressure to encourage the movement of lymph fluid through the body’s superficial and deep lymphatic networks. This therapeutic technique is particularly effective for post-surgical recovery and lymphatic system health.

MLD can help reduce post-surgical and traumatic swelling, support breast cancer rehabilitation, manage mild lymphedema, and provide symptomatic relief for conditions including fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and migraine headaches. It also promotes general relaxation and supports the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Nancy Morin, RMT, CMLDT is our certified Medical Lymph Drainage Therapist, having completed intensive training through Klose Training in the Vodder technique. Her personal experience with post-surgical recovery, combined with her specialized certification, allows her to provide targeted, compassionate care tailored to each client’s needs.
