BREAST CANCER PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapists have an essential role in the management of possible breast cancer-related conditions.

Following breast cancer treatments (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, reconstruction), some commonly found physical impairments may develop, including lymphedema, shoulder pain, cancer-related fatigue, axillary web syndrome and chest wall restrictions.

With over 15 years of experience working in breast cancer rehab, our physiotherapist, Jennifer Beck, can help with the management of these and other possible side-effects.

Breast Cancer Physiotherapy can help with:
– Chest and arm pain
– Muscle and soft tissue release
– Improving range of motion and healing after surgery (lumpectomy, mastectomy, lymph node removal and breast reconstruction)
– Fibrosis
– Swelling
– Strengthening with postural correction and individualized exercise prescription

Jen is passionate about helping those affected by breast cancer return safely and confidently to all of their roles and to the activities that they love.
