JENNIFER BECK

BREAST CANCER PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Beginning in 2008, Jen Beck began focusing exclusively on cancer rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in working in a non-profit cancer centre in exercise rehab, in private community care and by providing instruction to other health care professionals and students who work in the oncology rehab field. After graduating from McMaster university with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 1998, Jen completed numerous courses in cancer rehab, including lymphedema massage & care. She is also an ADP Authorizer for lymphedema garments.

Jen has had the privilege of working with hundreds of women being treated for, and recovering from, breast cancer. She treats women (and men who can also get BC) for swelling and lymphedema using manual lymphatic drainage massage, compression, kinesio taping, exercise prescription and myofascial soft tissue release. Jen believes that, by incorporating hands on therapy and individualized exercises, she can help improve range of motion, pain, muscle strength, postural alignment, axillary cording, seroma treatment, scar tissue, and post radiation fibrosis.

Jen is passionate about helping those affected by breast cancer return safely and confidently to all of their roles and the activities they love.
